The Project
District IV of Tenghori is a village belonging to the Ziguinchor region of Senegal. One of the most important festivals is the Tabaski (sheep festival). It is said that God would have asked Abraham to kill his son to prove his faith. Abraham, a very believing man, would have taken a knife to cut his son's throat and when the blade touched his neck, a sheep took his place thus saving a human life.
