Diarone District I

Diarone - District I is a village in Senegal, located in Lower Casamance and is part of the city of Tenghory. The village has 861 inhabitants and 90 families according to the latest censuses. It is a village rich in festivals and religious and culinary traditions: from the "boukoute diola", which takes place every 20 years and introduces the boys to the life of men; to Ekangoulaye, a typical dish that is cooked with herbs.
