Officine Panerai is an Italian luxury watch manufacturer. Officine Panerai designs, manufactures and markets watches through authorized dealers and owned stores around the world. The company was born in Italy, precisely in Florence, in 1860, from the expert hands of Giovanni Panerai. Giovanni Panerai opens his watch shop on Ponte alle Grazie: it will not only be a shop with a laboratory, but also the first watchmaking school in the city. Today it is a subsidiary of Compagnie Financière Richemont S.A.
Officine Panerai follows an ethical code sanctioned by the Richemont Group Social Responsibility Committee. Social responsibility for Officine Panerai means, first of all, consistency. Consistency with the brand’s DNA, with the intrinsic values it expresses such as ethics, transparency, legality and with the philosophy of the Richemont Group. This is why Sustainability for Panerai begins with small concrete and daily steps: reducing the environmental impact of its production and commercial activities; sensitize its employees and suppliers to follow an eco-compatible lifestyle; support realities and projects that work for social, economic and environmental sustainability.
For this reason they decided to support the WAMI project, collaborating in the realization of a water project in the village of Makarongoni, in Tanzania.
